News From the Woolworks!

Here are some events that are coming up this week:

Salvation Army Fabric Sale-

Some of you may already know about the Salvation Army fabric/needlework/craft sale that starts on Wednesday in Chambersburg. There are millions of donated items for sale from fabric to yarn, sewing notions to carft kits, thread to patterns, books to sewing machines! It is held in the Norland shopping center on route 11 north end of town. Times are Wed., Thurs., Fri. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sat. 9 to 3.

Hook-in at Grant Street Woolworks-

Since quite a few rug hookers attend above-mentioned Salvation Army event, they asked if we could have a hook-in at Grant Street Woolworks on Wednesday. So bring your project, a lunch, and friends. You may join us any time between 10 and 4. Come any enjoy a day of hooking, talking and sharing the joy of our craft. All are Welcome!!!

Stitches Class taught by Doris-

Saturday, May 2, Doris Aymar, expert rug hooker and teacher, will present a stitches class featuring sculpting, proddy, brick stitch and several other decorative embellishments for hooked rugs. The class will begin at 10 a.m. and run till approximately 3 p.m. The class costs $35.00 and includes all materials. Lunch will be provided. Please call to reserve your place for this interesting and educational presentation.

New Wool-

The latest wools from Heavens to Betsy and Rebecca Erb are now in the shop. There are some really lovely colors and textures. We will be happy to show them to you!

  2. Yes, Beth, I went nuts and took the scissors to my hair! LOL!!! Then Zip hacked it up in the back. And to finish the job, Linda trimmed it some more when I got to work! It was a group effort! hehehe!!! And I have been losing weight- WITHOUT HELP FROM THE OTHERS, thank goodness! They'd probably have chunks carved out of my body in an effort to slenderize me!

  3. Pat, I miss you and Linda... The night of the hook in(2nd thurs in april) we had a bad accident on one of my husbands jobs. I was packing my hooking stuff to come when my husband called me to come to the hospital. I can't wait to see you guys..tell Linda I said hi! I love seeing all the pics on everyones blogs!

    We miss you too!!!! Kathy told us about the terrible accident. I am soooo sorry. Are you two doing OK?
