A Message from the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown, MD

I received this comment and wanted to pass it on to all the rest of you. It is a reminder about a show they are presenting that features hooked rugs from the collection of an esteemed expert in the field of antique and vintage hooked rugs.

Quote form the Museum of Fine Arts:

"Museum of Fine Arts said...
I'm writing from the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown, MD and I wanted the Cumberland Valley "hookers" to know about the VINTAGE HOOKED RUG exhibition opening at the museum on Saturday, April 25th. A public reception will take place on Sunday, April 26th at 2:00pm, where Dr. Patricia Herr, a vintage hooked rug expert and collector, will give a lecture about many of the pieces in the exhibition. THIS IS ALL FREE! This exhibition will be on view from April 25 until August 9th. Visit our website (www.wcmfa.org) or call 301-739-5727 Tuesday - Sunday with any questions."

This is a quote from Pat:
I think this will be a wonderful opportunity to see some exceptional rugs. Flyers for this show are available at the Grant Street Woolworks shop at 240 Grant Street, Chambersburg, PA. There are several other events presented in conjunction with this show. The dates and events are on the flyer.

Hope you are able to attend this exciting exhibition!
