Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope your day is filled with the joy of spending time with family and friends, much feasting, and counting your blessings.
We are indeed blessed!
We are fairly healthy for our ages.
We have a wonderful son and daughter-in law (who is more like me than is sensible. LOL!)
Both Zip and I have mothers who are still doing well at ages in their late eighties and early nineties.
Brothers and sisters with which to share childhood memories and commiserate with about growing older.
Friends that we get together with often and ones we wish we had more of an opportunity to see.
And last but not least, our five delightful kitties!
And where might those kitties be??? What are they up to???
Up is the answer! Deiter has learned how to open the bathroom closet doors and Penny and Izzy climb right up. Now how do I get down???
The doors at the top are right up at the eight-foot ceiling and she jumps! Usually they try to land on the back of the toilet.
Sometimes Zip gets the ladder and climbs up to get Penny. Izzy is too skittish and will claw us if we try to carry her down. She has to do it her own way. If Deiter goes the whole way to the top, we have to rescue him because he's too big and heavy to land safely. He's also VERY HEAVY when you try to carry him down the ladder!!!
Reggie still jumps up and walks along the top of doors. Someday I expect to see him upside down, hanging from the ceiling.
Cats certainly know how to entertain themselves. And give us heart failure!!!
Have a good day, everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving Pat, Zip and Furry Family! Gob Bless You All!
ReplyDeleteHi Pat
ReplyDeleteTalking of cats in high placaes this post has broken my dream from last night.
I dreamt that Rupert had got on the roof and Tom was on a ladder trying to get him down. isn't that a coincidence.
Enoy thanksgiving.
Briony
xx
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
ReplyDeleteHeart failure indeed...it drives me crazy when Casper and Archie "door sit" which is what I call it when they mess about on the top of the doors. I can't even begin to imagine how they got the cupboard doors open.
A very Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Thanks for sharing some pics of the fur babies! They always bring smiles!
ReplyDeleteLove your cat antics. Sophie jumped up on the kitchen counter yesterday and I shouted loudly at her to get down. A bit later, she came over to me on the couch as if to see if I still loved her. She's getting pretty dug in now!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful holiday and a great turkey feast!!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Hugs!
Happy Thanksgiving Pat, Zip and all the kitties. I hope that you enjoy your dinner.
ReplyDeleteYour cats are sure climbers. When I had three cats they liked the big floor to ceiling carpeted tower that my son had built for them. The tower had square shelves and the cats were always way up there. They loved cat nip and one of them went absolutely crazy and started to roll on the very top shelf and fell all the way to the floor. She just picked herself and any dignity she had left and climbed on the lower shelf. I'm still laughing about that one. JB
Oh Pat love the kitty pics - Riley would be right there with them (Probably Q too when he gets big enough - Jonesy likes it where it's safe) And we have had a case where Riley was hanging from the ceiling - not kidding! LOL Anyway - i think they think it's funny when we think we have to "rescue" them! Love all your cabinets - cool! Happy T-day to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, they are like acrobats. You should get them auditions with Cirque de Soleil - help pay for their cat treats!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Hi Pat,
ReplyDeleteLove the pics of your acrobatic cats!!! I sometimes wonder if cats have a little monkey in their genes! What fun to watch them!!
Sending wishes to you and Zip and all your little "monkeys" :)!!
Hugs!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the "kitty fix". You always have the best pictures.
Happy belated Thanksgiving!
Hugs :)

I so agree with your last statement lol...and what is it about tops of doors?
ReplyDeleteI envy you your large family ...both my late huband and I were only children and sadly my mum was the last of her generation and she died in 2000. I am lucky my daughter and her adopted family live with me ...although I think she wishes I didn't add so many words of wisom sometimes lol. My son is busy working and coping with his family ...3 under 3 1/2 is a lot to cope with... but I know he would be there if I needed him.
Glad you had a happy Thanksgiving xx
