That's how I came upon this blog of yours. I just started hooking, so far have only used yarn because it is what I have on hand. But now that I'm beginning to spready my wings I needed to learn as much as possible and your blog is both helpful and inspiring. Thanks for sharing you knowledge. /debBunch's Placehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09044363995191229612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1286657422188770020.post-72935145213658724532010-07-10T16:41:51.529-04:002010-07-10T16:41:51.529-04:00Pat, I'll so glad you mentioned not bring wool...Pat, I'll so glad you mentioned not bring wool into your home until you're going to wash it. Years ago I bought handmade wool hanging only to discover a couple months later there were moths from it all over my studio that have gotten in my wool and rovings. What a mess!!!! When I buy second hand or wool from something like a flea market I put it in the freezer for at least three days. Any bugs including moths are killed by the freezing.bspinnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11385723696922637454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1286657422188770020.post-51809905415557424352010-06-27T20:20:33.144-04:002010-06-27T20:20:33.144-04:00Pat ~

I have a really hard time washing everything that comes into my home because I try to buy wool that not only I like the color but they fit me as well. My theory is that I can wear anything until it becomes a rug, or project. I really really want to start a rug. I think my project for this afternoon is to find a design sketch it out on a burlap and pick some colors for it. I haven't been hooking for 25 years but I have been collecting wool for that time.~~well not all the time~~ :-) You have inspired me with the beautiful projects of yours and others.
And oh yes I like the kitties too.
Thank you very much PatsySoap by Patsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08662757734071709324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1286657422188770020.post-36766475090291204662010-06-27T14:11:59.777-04:002010-06-27T14:11:59.777-04:00I forgot to mention that I was honored to see her ...I forgot to mention that I was honored to see her "secret" rug in person and its incredible!Joannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02268530329503988928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1286657422188770020.post-5302287232538715542010-06-27T11:43:47.018-04:002010-06-27T11:43:47.018-04:00I'm missing those kitties too!! You can use the used dryer sheets in between the wool too when you store it. Great post Pat! I can hardly see that picture of the sneak peek and will have to get out my looking glass! LOL It's so hard to not be able to share photos yet!

Cathy GCathy G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14409521338403315750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1286657422188770020.post-78980636077578631542010-06-27T11:27:20.671-04:002010-06-27T11:27:20.671-04:00Good idea, Joanne. Pat - one thing you might want to do when you dry your wool is add a Dry big towel to your dryer with the wet wool - it really does help dry faster - My dryer is nearly 20 years old and any help it can get helps. It really does cut the drying time down in less than half.Joannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02268530329503988928noreply@blogger.com
